Charlie Hughes

Charlie is a final year Undergraduate student at Macquarie University, studying a Bachelor of Environment, where he has had the opportunity to travel to Japan and New Zealand to study environmental science. He started volunteering with MEG in 2023, since then he has been helping out with research for various projects, including work on the Great Barrier Reef Sea Cucumber Fishery and the Eastern Billfish fishery.

Charlie is keen to learn more and build his skills by being involved in many different projects. Recently he has been part of a team undertaking a study of a deformity in a Southern Eagle Ray, using Conebeam CT and MRI.
